Awards all round

IT has been a busy few days for F1 team bosses with David Richards of BAR being honored by the Motorsport Industry Association award for "The Most Outstanding Contribution To The UK Motorsport Industry" of the last year. The award has been made in the past to Bernie Ecclestone, Harvey Postlethwaite, Adrian Reynard and Sir Jackie Stewart and Ken Tyrrell.

The presentation was made at the House of Lords in London with more than 300 guests in attendance, including Max Mosley, Sir Stirling Moss, Murray Walker and Sir Frank Williams.

Eddie Jordan has also been busy collecting an honorary doctorate from the University of Ulster in Belfast. The award was made in recognition for Jordan's services to international sport.
