Nguyen wows them again

THERE seems to be no stopping Australia's Rob Nguyen. He has completed only a handful of motor races in his life but he has done an incredible job in Formula 3000 this year - even if he is still yet to score a point. Last week in a two-day Formula 3000 test at Monza Nguyen emerged with the fastest time beating Rodrigo Sperafico by nearly eight-tenths of a second. The rest of the pack were close behind Sperafico and included frontrunners Tomas Enge, Giorgio Pantano and Sebastien Bourdais.

The time was no fluke either as Nguyen was second fastest on the first day.

Before entering Formula 3000 Nguyen completed in one season of Formula Volkswagen in Germany.

It is worth noting that in the field for the Nurburgring event will be America's Derek Hill (son of 1961 World Champion Phil Hill) who replaces Alex Muller with the Durango team.
