More on CART shares

THERE is still a lot of action going on in the United States around the CART shareholdings with Gerry Forsythe last week adding to his shareholding in the business. This follows a substantial acquisition last week by US financier Glenn Krevlin.

Although no-one involved will confirm what is going on it seems that there is a move afoot by the principal shareholders to buy up enough stock to take the company off the New York Stock Exchange so that it can be run in a different way in the future.

Despite rumors in F1 circles it does not seem that Bernie Ecclestone is involved at all, although with financial matters one can never be 100% certain if someone is behind the share-buying of others.

We did receive a tip last week that Ecclestone was buying into CART but there does not seem to much evidence to back this up at the moment.
