A little chauvinism...
"The specialists say that Normand Legault is the man who will take the reins of the company," the newspaper claimed, citing no specialists. The suggestion caused some amusement in F1 circles as the Canadian GP, while being a popular event, is quite a long way behind most of the other races in terms of facilities and organization. The problem, so they say, is one of money as the local authorities turned down the funding of new facilities on the grounds of cost.
Legault responded wisely to the chauvinistic speculation by saying that he "would not presume to be able to replace Bernie Ecclestone".
