Those naughty Dutchmen...

JOS VERSTAPPEN has an extraordinary amount of support from his fellow countrymen and there was more than a little discontent over the winter when Jos was dumped at the last moment by the Arrows team to make way for Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Since then Verstappen and Arrows have been in court rather a lot although much of the case has been held "in camera" so that we have not been able to report on what has been going on. What we can say is that it is not over yet.

In the meantime the Dutch have been hitting back in their own ways. When the two Arrows failed to make the start in Australia there was jubilation in Holland. At Imola, the first European race, some Verstappen fans turned up opposite the Arrows pit and put up a banner which would have made anyone blush and suggested things that Tom Walkinshaw might do to himself to keep the Dutch fans happy.

Some Dutch marketeers have got onto the case and an anti-Walkinshaw baseball cap is apparently selling like hot cakes in Holland.

Walkinshaw remains unrepetent and seems happy to fight all the lawsuits that Verstappen throws at him.
