SAB and Miller

SOUTH AFRICAN BREWERIES is one of the world's most powerful brewing companies and is currently in the process of buying Miller Brewing from the Philip Morris group of companies. If the deal goes ahead SAB will become the second largest brewing company in the world. Both SAB and Miller have a history on involvement in motor racing with SAB's subsidiary Pilsner Urquell having been a recent sponsor of the Jordan Grand Prix. Miller has a lengthy history in racing in the United States but only briefly tried F1 with the now-defunct Team Lotus in the early 1990s.

Since 1999 SAB has been listed on the London stock exchange and has been expanding aggressively in the international markets.
