More on Mecachrome...

IT is perhaps worth noting that Mecachrome's rumored move to work with Infiniti in the Indy Racing League makes a lot of sense given the recent announcement that the company has opened a factory in Montreal, in league with the Aero company. The deal is part of Mecachrome's expansion into the North American aeronautical business. Mecachrome employs around 1500 in France and has a heavy involvement in the aerospace industry as well as working on competition engines. The company is very discreet about its clients but these include Airbus, Rolls Royce and Eurocopter. The racing division has done work with Renault, Toyota (rumor has it that Mecachrome has worked on both Toyota CART and F1 engines) and BMW. The Aero company works building parts for Bombardier and Boeing.

Mecachrome is expected to embark on further expansion in North America and a deal to build Infiniti engines thus makes a great deal of sense...
