Yoong to race at Monaco in Peterson Lotus

MINARDI driver Alex Yoong is to take part in tomorrow's Historic Grand Prix of Monaco at the wheel of a Lotus 72. The car in question was used by Ronnie Peterson to win four Grand Prix victories in the course of 1973.

The Historic Grand Prix of Monaco has enabled the locals to bring in considerably more income to justify the costs of disruption around the town which has to be converted into a race track each year. The idea of running two events in two weekends means that two different racing crowds are being drawn to Monaco, making the whole procedure a lot more cost-effective for the city.
