Team bosses to meet in Austria

THE next round of political maneuvers takes place this weekend in Austria with the Formula 1 team bosses called together by Bernie Ecclestone to try to find ways to cut costs. Ecclestone hopes to get everyone to agree to cut back on F1 spending - but that is not very likely to happen.

The team bosses are notoriously bad about agreeing on anything and some of the bigger teams are known to be annoyed by the smaller teams complaining about money when they see the attempted cutbacks as a way of hitting their competitiveness.

The big teams have already made it clear that there is not much hope of saving money if there is a testing ban - as they will then use simulation rigs to test their cars.
