Spreading the word about F1...
AT the recent JavaOne technology conference in San Francisco, the Vodafone representatives all appeared wearing Ferrari shirts and their booth featured a huge photograph of World Champion Michael Schumacher.
The conference, which was staged by Sun Microsystems also saw Sun's chief executive Scot McNealy talking about Formula 1 to his largely American audience and bantering with Vodafone personnel about the fact that Sun is a McLaren sponsor and Vodafone, a major Sun partner in the mobile phone world, is a backer of Ferrari.
