Symonds and Renault
ALTHOUGH senior team members were saying a few weeks ago that Pat Symonds was going to leave the Renault F1 team at the end of the year, the team has now put out a press statement to clarify the situation.
"It is time to put an end to these unfounded rumors," said Flavio Briatore. "Pat is not only one of the most valued members of our senior technical management but also a personal friend. The team and Pat have a longstanding, successful partnership and we trust this will continue."
This implies that Symonds will be staying.
