Digital drama for ITV
PAYING too much for sports rights has claimed another victim. British pay-TV ITV Digital went into administration on Wednesday after failing to make payments to the English Football League. The company owe the soccer clubs $250m and was hoping to get payments reduced by the soccer clubs. If the company is now closed down it will be a major blow for soccer and some of the smaller teams could go out of business because of the lack of revenue.
