The Imola case is finally over

THE return of the car in which Ayrton Senna was killed at Imola, eight years ago, marks the end of the sorry tale of the legal action that followed the death of the great Brazilian driver. The car was returned to Williams a couple of weeks ago, having been in the custody of the authorities since the crash. Court proceedings have now ended with little left to be investigated and the conclusion therefore is likely to remain that the cause of Senna's accident is a mystery. Various members of the Williams team were acquitted of manslaughter charges three years ago.
