Schumacher to use F2002 in Brazil

FERRARI has decided to use a combination of F2001 and F2002 chassis in Brazil next weekend, after testing both extensively over the past week in Barcelona.

One F2002 chassis will be available to Michael Schumacher in Brazil, and the defending champion will use a modified F2001 as a back up car, while Rubens Barrichello will use two modified F2001s, as has been the case so far in 2002.

Ferrari sporting director, Jean Todt, said of the decision, "The development program on the new car, which has gone ahead over the past few weeks, means we have been able to take the F2002 to the Interlagos race".

Schumacher has had more time in the new F2002 than his teammate, as Barrichello got his first taste of the new car just last week in Barcelona.
