Irvine wins High Court case

EDDIE IRVINE has won a court victory over a British radio station which used his image to market itself. Irvine sued Talksport radio over documentation published in 1999 to attract advertisers. The Honorable Hugh Laddie of the Chancery Division Patent Court ruled that Irvine did have a case but warned that Irvine need not expect much in the way of damages for such a minor infringement. The principle has, however, been established to stop companies using the image of drivers without their permission.
