Final testing at Silverstone, Valencia test continues
TESTING in Silverstone moved to the shorter National circuit for its final day on Thursday, where rain prevented dry running in the afternoon.
Enrique Bernoldi set the fastest lap of the day at 42.459s in the Arrows A23, ahead of Japanese driver Takuma Sato in a Jordan EJ12.
Kimi Raikkonen was in attendance, shaking down a couple McLaren MP4/17 chassis bound for Melbourne, and Heinz-Harald Frentzen continued to test through the rain spells in the afternoon in the second Arrows A23.
Raikkonen's teammates Alexander Wurz and David Coulthard, as well as Williams drivers Juan-Pablo Montoya and Marc Gene, were in Valencia for the second of a three day test. McLaren and Williams are expected to return to the Valencia circuit on Friday to conduct wet set-up work.
Friday will be the last day of testing for the cars headed to the Australian GP, as they are scheduled to be shipped Saturday.
