Zanardi battling on

ALEX ZANARDI is continuing his recovery and is now using artificial legs although he admits that some days are harder than others and he struggles to use the legs all the time. Zanardi says that while this is frustrating he is happy that the hardest part of his recovery process is now behind him, as he now knows how to walk on his artificial legs.

Zanardi lost both legs in a huge accident at the Lausitzring in September and was fortunate that the CART medical team was able to get him to hospital in Berlin in time to save his life. The Italian came within minutes of death from loss of blood.

There is talk that Zanardi will be at the Long Beach Grand Prix in April but the man himself says it is too early to say for certain.
