Former Williams test driver ends up in Australian V8s

A couple of years ago Brazil's Max Wilson was being talked about as a potential Formula 1 driver. The German-born Brazilian had done well in Formula 3000 driving for the Petrobras Junior Team but could not find a full-time job in F1 and so headed off to America in 2000 to try his hand at CART. Wilson's team struggled but last year he tried to revive his career driving for the new Brook Racing. Unfortunately at the end of the year one of the team's investors Larry Blair took over the team and it switched to the Indy Racing League and took on American driver Alex Barron, leaving Wilson without a job in America. Wilson has now decided to take up the offer of a drive in the Australian Touring Car Championship in a Ford Falcon!
