Malaysian tickets sales at 20,000
THE Malaysian GP organizers say that they have sold 20,000 tickets for the event but are still hopeful of getting a crowd of 100,000 people. According to the organizers the low demand for tickets is quiet normal as fans tend to buy at the last minute. In previous years ticket sales have been 60% to foreigners but with the international uncertainty the authorities decided this year to embark on a major sales drive within the country.
Sixty classic cars will soon set off from Sepang for the Grand Prix Tour of the country aimed at selling tickets to locals.
