No news from Melbourne coroner

THE lack of any word from the Melbourne Coroner is beginning to cause worries in Europe. At the inquest into the death of marshal Graeme Beveridge, the State Coroner Graeme Johnstone said that he would publish his findings and recommendations in the middle of January but said that he did not see any reason why this would effect the running of the race. It is now the end of January and nothing has yet been made public and until an official report is published the FIA is refusing to confirm that the Australian Grand Prix will go ahead as planned.

Sources in Australia say that the Grand Prix Corporation is not worried about the race but the lack of urgency is still rather odd, given that the race is now only just over five weeks away.
