Schumacher fastest again in Valencia
MICHAEL SCHUMACHER topped the time sheets again in Valencia on Sunday. The world champion completed his second day of testing for Ferrari at the Ricardo Tormo circuit, but his teammate, Rubens Barrichello, could not test as scheduled Sunday because of the damage to his car caused by the hard crash he suffered Saturday.
Schumacher was joined in Spain by his brother Ralf, testing for Williams-BMW, Williams' two test drivers, Antonio Pizzonia and Marc Gene, and the BAR-Honda duo of Olivier Panis and Ryo Fukuka.
Williams was wrapping up its seventh consecutive day of testing in Valencia, amazingly fielding three cars each day. BMW's Mario Theissen said of the week long test, "A seven-day test needs a massive input of resources, which makes it nearly impossible to keep all three cars running all day for this long. Therefore it is even more pleasing that we managed to get through to most of our program."
