Scheckter looking to IRL
TOMAS SCHECKTER, the former Jaguar Racing test driver, is to try his luck in the United States of America, following a season in Formula Nissan Open in Spain. The South African is expected to test for the Red Bull Cheever team in Las Vegas next week but has some stiff competition for the drive which is believed to be between former F1 winner Johnny Herbert, CART's Max Papis and Scheckter.
Herbert is keen to get back into single-seater racing having not raced in open-wheeler cars since he left Formula 1 at the end of 2000.
