McLarens fastest at Valencia
KIMI RAIKKONEN topped the time sheets at the third day of testing at Valencia on Wednesday, just a hundredth of a second faster than his McLaren teammate David Coulthard.
Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato tested for Jordan; Fisichella was third fastest behind the two McLarens.
Three Williams-BMWs were scheduled to test Wednesday, but only Antonio Pizzonia and Juan-Pablo Montoya completed laps, as Marc Gene spun early and could not continue.
Jaguar also suffered from problems in Spain. Eddie Irvine suffered a broken driveshaft in an R3, and teammate Pedro De la Rosa was plagued by brake problems in an R2C.
Mika Salo was, once again, the only tester for Toyota on Wednesday, and Minardi tested with three drivers. Spaniard Antonio Garcia made his Formula One debut in a Minardi, and set a time faster than both team driver Alex Yoong and young Italian Matteo Bobbi.
