Ferrari testing at home and away

FERRARI's intensive program of tire development with Bridgestone has stepped up a gear having left the rather public group test at Barcelona for some track time behind closed doors at Fiorano.

Luciano Burti is getting used to the demands of the world champions having returned to Maranello after two days of testing at Barcelona and immediately putting in 80 laps of the Ferrari test track while test team mate Badoer took over in Barcelona.

Burti's work continued for three days at Fiorano where the F-2001 chassis was understood to have been fitted with development parts for the forthcoming 2002 car, which is expected to feature revolutionary transmission and weight distribution features. Meanwhile Badoer's program in Barcelona concentrated on electronics.
