Jaguar Racing to get Castrol backing
ALTHOUGH the deal has yet to be announced we understand that BP will be backing Jaguar Racing in 2002 but it will be doing it with the Castrol brand rather than the main BP company. The deal has been done as part of a bigger oil-supply deal between Castrol and the Ford Motor Company's Premier Automotive Group.
Interestingly, Castrol will remain a sponsor of the Williams F1 team as well as it also has a relationship with Williams's engine supplier BMW.
The deal is expected to be announced in mid-January.
