McLaren to diversify into furniture!
THE McLaren Formula 1 team says it will be producing and marketing its own range of furniture in the future, based on its designs which have been commissioned for the new Paragon factory. The company is also expected to commercialize high-technology lighting designs, continuing the company's policy of creating state-of-the-art technologically-linked items.
The team is also planning other expansion but team boss Ron Dennis will not be drawn on what these developments will be. He did however say that it is possible that the current factory will be passed on to another racing team, although many of the other buildings occupied by McLaren (there are currently 19) will be dropped as the leases run out.
