The Canadians re-emerge

ACCORDING to reports in the Canadian Press a Ottawa group is once again trying to buy Prost Grand Prix. The group was mentioned as a possible buyer of several teams a year or so ago. The company concerned is called Vector Motor Sport and is run by former financier Marc Bourdeau, who claims that he has a F1 engine under development. The aim of the group is to use an F1 team to showcase the planned engine in the hope that an F1 team or a car manufacturer would then purchase the project.

According to the reports, however, Vector's investment package is no longer in place and the company is looking for new backers and hopes that the local government in Canada will help out.

Given the details revealed it seems unlikely that this is a serious bid.
