Cochet wins in Korea
PROST GRAND PRIX test driver Jonathan Cochet has had a frustrating season but he ended it in the best possible way with a dominant victory in the International Formula 3 Korea Super Prix at Changwon over the weekend. Cochet was driving for the French Signature Competition team. He won both heats and set a new lap record around the Korean circuit.
And while Cochet was the winner it was Japanese Formula 3 Champion Benoit Treluyer who provided the action, climbing from ninth on the grid to finish third after a couple of impressive overtaking moves.
Britain's Andy Priaulx finished between the two Frenchman to end his season on a high note in his Promatecme entry.
Cochet's victory means that in the last couple of years he has won the French Formula 3 title plus the internationaal races at Pau, Zandvoort and Changwon, an impressive list of results.
