Toyota in action at Ricard

THE Toyota test team was in action this week at Paul Ricard as it continues its simulation of what it is like to run an F1 team. Allan McNish completed almost 200 laps during the four-day test which followed immediately after a three day test in Malaysia. The Paul Ricard circuit now has a new layout following redevelopment work by the new ownership (in which F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone is involved).

"This was the first time for us on the new Paul Ricard track," commented team manager Ange Pasquali. "The new circuit profile is really state-of-the-art and it is good for us to learn about the new features and to establish our base for the future."
