Jordan to appeal stewards decision

JORDAN GRAND PRIX has decided to appeal the decision to exclude Jarno Trulli from the United States Grand Prix. Trulli was thrown out because the scrutineers found that the underbody "plank" had been excessively worn during the race.

An appeal usually means that a team has new evidence to present in a case but it is hard to see what evidence can be presented when measurements show that the "plank" is too thin.
