Brits head for Indy Racing League

LOLA and Reynard, the British chassis constructors who currently rule the roost in US-based CART racing are aiming to be a feature of the rival Indy Racing League in 2003.

Reynard has come under the increasing charge of Rick Gorne as Adrian Reynard pursues other interests as well as his involvement in the British American Racing team. Lola meanwhile continues to supply the FIA Formula 3000 championship's single-chassis formula with a new car set to appear in 2002.

It is believed that Reynard is attempting to lure the former Sauber designer Sergio Rinland away from his Formula 1 ambitions, although his stock is high after the success of the current C20 car for which Rinland led the design team.
