Sauber chasing Alonso
ACCORDING to reports in the European press Sauber has been sniffing around Fernando Alonso as a potential replacement for Kimi Raikkonen. Alonso is under option to stay with Minardi next year but that arrangement has yet to be finalized even if the Spaniard says that he wants to stay where he is and continue to learn about F1 out of the spotlight.
Other names which have been mentioned as possible Raikkonen replacements include Felipe Massa, who tested for the team earlier this week and Jaguar test driver Andre Lotterer.
