Monza - a very significant event

THE Italian Grand Prix may not seen to be that important in the wake of what has been happening in the United States of America but this weekend will be seen in the years to come as a very significant one for Formula 1. It is the first time in modern times that there has been an Asian driver (other than from Japan) and also the first time that the World Championship can claim a driver from Eastern Europe. Asia and the old Eastern bloc are huge markets which F1 has being trying to break into for some years and the appearance of Alex Yoong and Tomas Enge will help that process enormously.
