Wilson looks for a Formula 1 deal

WINNING the Formula 3000 title does not guarantee much these days and, despite an impressive season with Coca-Cola Nordic Racing Justin Wilson has yet to find a seat for next year. Wilson has battled all year long with Benetton test driver Mark Webber for the Formula 3000 and since Hungary he seems to have the title in the bag. But Webber is still better placed for an F1 drive next year.

Wilson, who is managed by former Grand Prix driver Jonathan Palmer, has talked to several F1 teams, including Jaguar. He has had a seat fitting for McLaren but to date he has yet to do any testing.

Wilson has the disadvantage of being 6ft 3in in height.
