Castroneves's victory leaves CART title wide open
FORMULA 1 team bosses tend to keep a vague on what is happening in CART and this year is developing into a curious championship situation as there is no clearly dominant force despite there having been 13 of the 21 races. Kenny Brack was looking very strong but collisions with his team mate Max Papis in both of the last two races has allowed Helio Castroneves to close right up to within a point of Brack. Gil de Ferran's second place at Mid-Ohio on Sunday has lifted him to third in the points ahead of Dario Franchitti. Things are so close at the moment that a win for Michael Andretti, Cristiano da Matta or Scott Dixon could lift any of them into contention.
