Frentzen tries out his new Prost

HEINZ-HARALD FRENTZEN successfully completed his 30 miles of 'shakedown' running in the Prost at Magny-Cours as he prepares for his five races with the French team, having inadvertently traded places with Jordan-bound Jean Alesi.

The German completed a handful of laps and used up the remainder of his allocation by getting to grips with the launch control of his new mount, performing practice starts in the pit lane exit.

"I'm very motivated," Frentzen said. "But everyone must be patient because of all the new things that I must get used to. There were quite a lot of question marks because there hasn't been much time to get used to things. So far so good. We had a good first day."

Frentzen has also spent some time this week at the Prost factory in Guyancourt near Paris to meet the team and prepare for next weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
