Toyota complete Paul Ricard run

FORMULA ONE testers Toyota finished yet another of their test days at the French circuit of Paul Ricard on Thursday as they prepare for their Grand Prix racing debut in 2002.

Mika Salo was, once again, in the car working on engine mapping and cooling systems during the two-day test.

"This was my first proper run here and I must say that recent developments to the car are paying off," said Salo.

"The engine is going great after a few small problems at the last test at Monza, and the chassis is feeling much nicer."

Allan McNish will join Salo at the team's next test, in Barcelona on the 10th July, and the team will also have a run out at Magny Cours in that month as they rapidly gain data to help Toyota in their debut racing year in 2002.
