Ferrari top at Mugello

FERRARI's Luca Badoer topped the times at Mugello on Wednesday as the Italian team found itself in the unusual situation of testing with two other teams.

Barrichello was second fastest as Ferrari were joined by Sauber and Minardi, who all worked on traction control in preparation for its racing return in Barcelona at the end of the month.

Sauber's Nick Heidfeld was third fastest within a second of the lead Ferrari, but Minardi had a torrid time in their first test of the year.

Dutchman Christijan Albers made his debut as a tester for the little Anglo-Italian team and was more than six and a half seconds off the pace.

But he still beat team race driver Tarso Marques, who completed just one lap before experiencing mechanical problems.
