Schumacher shoots for glory

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER decided on Thursday that he will appear in a charity football match four days before the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The Ferrari star, who is a keen football player, will take to the field now that concerns of an unsatisfactory line-up have been allayed.

Although Pele will not be playing, the likes of Zico and Junior will run out alongside Schumacher.

The match, which will be played at the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janero, could also see an appearance from former FIFA player of the year Romario.

Schumacher is a UNICEF ambassador and the match will see children helped by the charity also making an appearance.

The Ferrari star is expected to be joined on the field by his Brazilian team-mate Rubens Barrichello as the might of Grand Prix racing take on the heroes of Brazil.
