Prost sign De la Rosa as test driver

PROST GRAND PRIX announced on Tuesday night they have signed Spanish driver Pedro de la Rosa as the team's reserve and test-driver next season.

De la Rosa was surplus to requirements at Arrows and was replaced by Enrique Bernoldi last week but has now signed a two-year contract with Alain Prost's team.

"I'm delighted to welcome Pedro to our team at the eve of a very promising season," said Prost.

"I am confident that his experience in Formula One, as well as the talent he has already shown in the past, will be an important support to drivers Jean Alesi and Gaston Mazzacane and will contribute to the team's ambitions."

Prost Grand Prix confirmed they are testing at Estoril in Portugal on Wednesday, although the team did not indicate whether De la Rosa will be driving.
