Todt considering retirement

FERRARI general manager Jean Todt has hinted at retirement from Formula 1 when his current contract with the team expires in 2001.

Todt told French newspaper LE FIGARO that he has yet to make a decision on his future with the Italian team and is not going to be rushed into a decision.

"I am still uncertain as to whether to continue with Ferrari or move on to something else," said Todt. "The fact remains that my contract with Ferrari expires at the end of 2001 and so I will decide what to do in the coming months."

Todt has been linked with a number of high-ranking sporting positions but is insisting that he will not be making any hasty decisions.
