Barrichello quickest at Valencia
Brazilian Barrichello set his best time of one minute and 14.954 seconds after he completed 62 laps. He tested for almost seven hours and concentrated his work on the team's new Bridgestone tires.
Barrichello was closely followed in the times by Jordan's Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who recorded a best time of one minute and 15.048 seconds.
German driver Frentzen switched from testing Bridgestone tires over the last two days to testing a new traction control unit in his EJ10B car. Frentzen tried two practice starts with the wheelspin preventative system.
"The car felt good and I hope we can keep the good momentum going in Barcelona next week," said Frentzen.
Arrows driver Pedro de la Rosa was third quickest with a lap time of one minute and 15.188 seconds, after he recovered when the team's new AMT engine blew-out and left oil on the track, causing a halt in proceedings for 45 minutes.
Jordan test-driver Ricardo Zonta completed the times as he recorded a best lap of one minute and 15.341 seconds.
Barrichello will now move on to testing at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, next week along with Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer.
Badoer tested on his own at Ferrari's Fiorano circuit on Friday as he worked on electronics. The Italian completed 67 laps, eight on the short circuit at Fiorano, with a best time of one minute and 0.804 seconds. He also completed 16 practice starts.
Jordan will also test at Barcelona next week, with Jarno Trulli joining Frentzen.
