BAR launch driver development program

British American Racing have announced that they are to launch a driver development programme to work alongside the current test team in 2001.

The Brackley-based team, who signed 'Young Driver of the Year' Anthony Davidson as a test driver on Monday, will give two young drivers the opportunity to test over three days.

The drivers will be given fitness tests and feedback on their technical ability as the team plan to develop emerging new talent.

Briton Marc Hynes, who won the 1999 Formula Three Championship, will be one of the two drivers who will test with the team in Barcelona between 18-20 December. The second driver will be announced prior to the test.
