Trulli looking to 2001 after Jordan failures

ITALIAN Jarno Trulli has turned his attentions to the 2001 world championship after putting his debut season with Jordan to the back of his mind.

Trulli had high expectations for last season following his move to the Silverstone-based team from Prost but the 26-year-old was hampered by reliability problems throughout the campaign.

"I thought we would be finally be rewarded for our perseverance and work during the season but that was not the case," Trulli said. "All we can do is forget the season and look to next year.

"I arrived at Jordan thinking I would be able to obtain some good results and possibly even get my first victory.

"But that wasn't the case and it was a really dreadful season and a one we must forget. We had a lot of power in the car but the reliability let us down."
