Villeneuve joins Grand Prix Drivers' Association

JACQUES VILLENEUVE has joined the Grand Prix Drivers Association as he bids to get his voice heard in future.

Since his introduction into Grand Prix in 1996 Canadian Villeneuve has not bothered to be a part of the Drivers' Association.

But this season he has grown frustrated that his opinions are not always valued because he is not in the group, and therefore he has joined up.

"I've found that proposals are better made from within than outside," said Villeneuve. "I would like to find out what is going on in the discussions and for my ideas to have an influence."
