Jordan drivers attend Gislimberti's funeral

Jordan drivers Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jarno Trulli both attended the funeral of fire marshal Paolo Gislimberti on Thursday.

Frentzen and Trulli were both involved in the collision at la Roggia chicane which resulted in the death of 33-year-old baker Gislimberti in last Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.

They attended his funeral along with Minardi driver Gaston Mazzacane in the San Ulderico church in the village of Lavis, near Trento in north-eastern Italy, two hours drive from Monza.

Gislimberti's coffin was wrapped in the Ferrari flag - the marshal had a passion for the Italian marque - with the team's test driver Luca Badoer representing them.

Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello sent a floral decoration with 110 red roses, while wreaths were also sent from the FIA, Bernie Ecclestone, BMW-Williams, Benetton and Arrows as well as Flavio Briatore.

A collection among Formula One teams for Gislimberti's eight-months pregnant widow totals $150,000 to date.

Each team donated $10,000 while FIA vice-president Ecclestone added $40,000 to the sum.
