Watch out for changes at BAR
THERE continue to be strong rumors suggesting that there will soon be major changes in the management structure at British╩American Racing with team boss Craig Pollock tipped to be replaced by CART team owner Barry Green and chief designer Andrew Green not having his contract renewed. If this is the case BAR needs to find a new design boss and there are no obvious candidates. It is expected that Williams's engineer James Robinson will join BAR in a senior technical position when he completes a four-month stretch during which he is not allowed to work in F1.
BAR continues to refuse to comment on rumors about the impending departure of Pollock but our sources at British╩American╩Tobacco say that he will be moving on if Green accepts the job.
