Todt dismisses Newey approach

FERRARI general manager Jean Todt has dismissed claims that the Italian outfit are attempting to prise technical director Adrian Newey from McLaren.

Todt, speaking ahead of Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix, said that the rumor was pure speculation and Ferrari have no intention of disrupting the set-up of their team.

"It is pure speculation," said Todt. "The last time Ferrari discussed this with Adrian Newey was a long time ago, back in 1995.

"I am very proud of the team that we have here and I think that it is best for Ferrari that we stick to the same team. That is the way that we are going to win."
