Wurz not out of F1 yet

ALEXANDER WURZ is currently in discussions with a number of teams for a drive in Formula One next season, after losing his Benetton seat to Jenson Button.

His manager Peter Cramer has said that the Austrian is in talks with "several different teams", and revealed that the options on the table are "race deals".

Wurz has failed to impress in Formula One after a promising debut, and will be forced out of Benetton and replaced by Button at the end of this season.

Cramer said: "We were informed early enough, but Alex was not so happy with Benetton towards the end."

He would not disclose which teams were talking with Wurz, but with Juan Pablo Montoya expected to join Williams and Luciano Burti heading to Jaguar, there are just four F1 teams with seats available.

The possibilities for Wurz look to now be with Minardi, Prost, Arrows, and Sauber. Wurz will be looking for a competitive drive to get his career back on track, so the latter two are perhaps the most favorite.

Cramer hopes to be able to make an announcement next week, following the Belgian Grand Prix.
