Verstappen calls for Dutch Grand Prix
ARROWS' Jos Verstappen has called for Formula One officials to contemplate adding Holland to the Grand Prix calendar.
The Dutchman, who was handed a return to F1 by the Leafield-based team this year, returned to his homeland to drive his Arrows A21 around the Zandvoort circuit and is now appealing for the seaside town track to be used to host a grand prix.
But the 28-year-old, who has also driven for Benetton, Simtek, Tyrrell, and Stewart Racing, is fully aware of the need to upgrade Zandvoort if it is to be added to the calendar.
"I think it would be good for Holland to have a Grand Prix," Verstappen said. "But I think Zandvoort would have to do a lot of work.
"I don't think there would be any problem with holding a Grand Prix in Holland because it can certainly accommodate Formula One."
